While the Indian retail market explores the myriad of possibilities in the retail branding segment, Economic Times will bring the various stakeholders in the value chain on a common platform.
In what is titled as ‘Trends Summit in Retail 2015’, key personnel from the Government and the retail sector will confabulate over the megatrends that are shaping the future of shopping, creating and sustaining borderless retail experience. The day-long summit will be held on 25 June 2015, at the Hyatt Regency in Mumbai.
According to Deepak Lamba, president, Times Conferences Ltd (TCL), balancing technology and human resources to fast track the buying experience is the key. He said, “In its maiden edition, the various panel discussions and special session at theTrends Summit, will pivot around customer experience, and multi-channel and e-commerce revolution.
The keynote address of the summit will be delivered by J K Dadoo, additional secretary, ministry of commerce and industries, Government of India. Some of the other delegates include retail leaders like Govind Shrikhande (managing director, Shopper’s Stop), Latif Nathani (managing director, Ebay India), Damodar Mall (CEO, Grocery Retail, Reliance Retail), Raman Mangalorkar (CEO, Jubilant Retail) and Manish Mandhana (MD, Madhana Industries (Being Human).
Lamba reasoned the initiative, “The Trends Summit was born from the need to study latest trends and challenges of different retail industries and undertake research to help in streamlining optimal solutions for the industry hurdles.”
“Today, Lamba continued, “India stands at crucial crossroads of development and evolving with time is a critical factor to pace up the developments. We hope the summit will serve as the next step to progress.”
