On 1 June 2015, Ramani Viswanathan joins Ipp Services, Training and Research (IppStar), the Noida-based consulting, training and research company focused on the Indian print, publishing and packaging vertical, as associate director and principal consultant. Ramani, as he is known throughout the industry, comes with more than 20 years of experience in the printing and imaging markets in India and the sub-continent, with his most recent assignment being vice president – sales, digital printing solutions at Kodak India.
Ramani who will continue to be based in Mumbai, will lead the ethical consulting and business services offered by IppStar – at first focusing on project consultancy for printing companies planning to start or expand digital print projects. Ramani will assist clients in making the right project decisions on print engines, software, finishing lines, ancillary equipment and plant construction. Aiming to support print businesses make correct techno-economic growth decisions, Ramani says, “Based on the specific current and future business needs of our clients, we will bring to bear our technical knowledge and insight on the opportunities and pitfalls of the Indian and global markets for the print industry. We hope to add business and engineering value to projects and our consultancy and support will be totally unbiased and neutral with regard to any specific brand.”
